On their recent visit to Cornwall Sir Roger and Lady Moore stayed at the UK’s first zero carbon holiday retreat, The Emerald. Opened in 2013, The Emerald is a small collection of luxurious properties that have been built to the highest sustainable code possible, aiming to prove that high quality accommodation and ecofriendly choices can go together hand in hand.

Owners of The Emerald, Tim and Brigitte Kemp, said, “We were surprised and delighted when Sir Roger and Lady Moore decided to stay with us. It has been a pleasure to see them enjoying their home for the last few days and making the most of what Cornwall has to offer.”

Regarding his stay, Sir Roger said, “Having been on the road for five weeks, it was an absolute tonic staying at The Emerald where Kristina and I could kick off our shoes and relax for a few days. I only wish we were playing more dates in Cornwall so we could have stayed longer!”

The former James Bond actor and Hollywood legend was in Cornwall as part of his An Evening with Sir Roger Moore tour, which features inside stories and anecdotes from his fascinating career.
