As well as being a luxury holiday destination, Emerald Cornwall is also a licensed wedding venue. Our first weddings are in the diary and we are really excited about working with our wedding couples to make sure they have the most perfect day possible when they get married here. Obviously we’d love to have more weddings taking place here so, in order to be able to add some fantastic photographs to our website and to possibly gain some exposure in the wedding press, we decided to hold an eco themed wedding photo shoot here.

Working alongside Jenny Wren Weddings and Events, and after weeks of organising, the shoot took place earlier this week, on 9th April. Jenny worked tirelessly but efficiently to organise the day, paying the sort of meticulous attention to detail that any couple getting married would hope for from their wedding planner.

The photo shoot coincided with a new element of Emerald Cornwall being completed. We’ve developed a space that will be ideal for bigger parties to use when they book out all our properties for sole use. ‘Woodpeckers’ is now the perfect space where guests can gather together, cook and dine. And it’s also one of the areas of Emerald Cornwall that is licensed for wedding ceremonies. It made the perfect location for the wedding breakfast at our photo shoot!

We are spoilt with an abundance of talented and creative wedding suppliers here in Cornwall and across the South West, and it was a pleasure to meet and work with them in the days leading up to and on the actually shoot day itself. Their generosity in supporting us to make the day a success is very much appreciated and we look forward to working with them all again in the future. Each supplier brought something quite unique and special to the day – and we will share the photographs of what they achieved with you just as soon as we are able to!

Of course, we now can’t wait for our first real wedding to take place here later this year. And we hope to be able to plan even more unforgettable weddings for people in the coming months and years – something that will make us really proud!
